DMD's operation in Hong Kong is already on target to distribute more than 37 million newspapers and magazines a year.
From its office in Wanchai, the team, of general manager John Hirsch, who also manages the whole region down into Australia, country manager Rosanna Kwok, who looks after business across the whole of greater China, and administrator Venus Chung, now has around 60 publishing companies under contract, but look after procurement only - not the physical copies.
Cathay Pacific is the main contract. Here, DMD handles 22 newspapers and 105 magazine titles for Cathay and Dragonair combined, not counting different editions of the same titles.
"We are very excited about mainland China in particular," commented DMD's director Phil White ahead of this summer's 2008 Beijing Olympics.
