eXCELLENT news for dawsonera

2008

'Innovative platform' means more libraries choose dawsonera for eBooks

NoWAL, the consortium of all the UK University and Colleges of Higher Education libraries in the North West, has hand picked dawsonera as an approved eBook platform for its member libraries.
It's clearly good news for both NoWAL and Dawson Books. Peter Wynne, NoWAL's executive secretary comments: "NoWAL members have evaluated a number of eBook platforms in the market today and found that dawsonera combines ease of use, clear instruction and functionality, coupled with a rapidly increasing, relevant content base. It is an innovative eBook platform and I trust that NoWAL members will find it a valuable acquisition tool."
Dawson Books' managing director Diane Kerr believes the award is a further endorsement of Dawson Books' Total Book Management policy and its ongoing investment programme: "dawsonera is a compelling product designed to our customers' specifications and unique requirements. The breadth of the content is expanding on a daily basis with newly-published works increasingly dominant."

Meanwhile, NEYAL, the North East and Yorkshire Academic Libraries Purchasing Consortium, has added to the good news by confirming that it has extended the existing book supply contract with Dawson Books for a further year, to the end of July 2009.
June Thoburn, NEYAL Books Co-ordinator comments: "Dawson Books has consistently
provided NEYAL libraries with a high quality service, and NEYAL members look
forward to working with Dawson Books to meet the needs of our libraries in a
changing environment."
