MMC won the contract to provide Nikon UK Ltd 's literature and point of sale distribution to consumers and dealers at the beginning of 2008, and since then the amount of business has steadily increased to the point where MMC is now undertaking the control and support for 'cashback' and redemption promotions.
The world-famous Japanese camera and camcorder manufacturer is very active in this area, often with a number of promotions running at the same time. Nikon Account Manager at MMC, Lindsay Field, comments: "Nikon is very led by market forces, and can quickly change how a promotion is being run. We have to react and manage these changes so the customer is always given the correct information."
She adds: "Nikon customers are very knowledgeable about cameras and equipment, and some of the calls we get on the Brochure Request Helpline are taxing, but we always aim to offer the best solution to their requests."
